Good Morning, Michael.

I want to thank you for helping me get the score that I needed to move forward with my target schools and put the GMAT behind me. I scored a 680 yesterday on the GMAT and couldn't be more satisfied with my performance. That is an 80 point increase over the course of 2 months from the last time I took the official GMAT. Also, I scored the highest I have on the Integrated Reasoning section with 7/8. I believe the intensive quant review we did made the IR section seem like a cake walk. Unlike the three previous times I took the exam, I was completely relaxed and focused yesterday. While you can't quantify that aspect of the exam, it was an area that I hoped to address with our tutoring plan and a barrier I've struggled with for quite some time. I attribute all of my success to working with you and your guidance. Thank you for helping me move forward with my goals.

It has been great working you as well. Take care and I hope that you are able to continue helping other students achieve their GMAT goals!

Best,

Devon

Hi Michael,

Thanks again so much for all your help! I ended up getting a 155 verbal and 159 quant! I really think working with you made all the difference!

Best,

Kimberly

Hello- so I just got my scores back... I killed it. 630 on math and 600 on English

Really happy with the scores- thank you for everything !

Hi Michael!

I meant to email you over the weekend but it completely forgot! I haven’t gotten my essay results back yet, but for the multiple choice sections I got an 800 in Reading and Writing and Language and a 780 in Math for a total score of 1580 :). I’m pretty happy with my results, but it’s killing me that I was just one wrong question away from a perfect score. Thank you so much for all your help! I couldn’t have done it without you.

Sincerely,

Anya

Hey Michael,

The test went really well, I scored a 1460 made up of a 700 on Reading/Writing and a 760 on Math. I am going to try to get a better score on either section on the October 1st SAT and go for a high superscore. I want to thank you so much for helping me achieve such a high score, I could not have done it without your help!

Thank you,

Kush

Hello Michael,

Thank you again,

Alexa

Hi Michael,

My SATs went well! I exceeded my goal of 1200, raising my English section by 80 points. Thank you so much for your help!!

-Caleb

For a couple schools I can super score! I will probably take it again in the spring. If ok, I will be in touch after the holidays. Thank you so much for all your help! Your tutoring had a huge impact.

Merry Christmas,

Samuel

Hey Michael it is Andrea I just wanted to thank you again for helping me study for the GRE. It was challenging but you continued to push me to work hard so that I could achieve my best score.

Also thank you again for taking the time to look over my statement of purposes(SOPs)  for graduate school and for providing me with various resources I could use to edit any grammatical mistakes I found in my SOPs.

I wanted to update you on where I will be going for my PhD. I will be attending The University of Arizona for my PhD in Management Information Systems where I will be doing Internet of Things security research. I decided to go to The University of Arizona over other schools I received offers from because I wanted to get a PhD from a business school. I also like that UofA has an Artificial Intelligence lab and within that they have a AZSecure cybersecurity program and their program is top five in Management Information Systems. The most important thing for me was I wanted to go to a program so that when I graduate I will be able to go straight into academia and become a professor (with some other programs after you graduate you may have to do a postdoc or the professors i spoke with did not really have a track record of producing professors). With the professor I will be working with, everyone of his students have gone on to become professors so UofA's program is a good fit for me.

Anyway I hope all is well on your end, stay safe and thank you again for your help throughout this process.

Regards

Andrea

Hi Michael,

At late notice, I got a vacancy to go in an do the test today.

I got 167 in quant and 162 in verbal. Made a silly mistake in the 1st maths section but got some tough ones right in the 2nd one.

Overall, the help you gave me did make a difference, so I just wanted to say thanks and let you know.

I was so nervous because I was afraid of missing out on my PhD program because of not having a high enough score. Now, I have a decent score in quant, if there is time before my application deadline, I might do it again to try to further improve (maybe get 170) and really remove all doubt from the equation, safe in the knowledge that I have an acceptable score in the bag.

In this case, I may want to contact you for another hour or 2's tuition if you are open to this.

Thanks again for your help! A couple of tough probability questions came up in the 2nd maths question and I banged out the answer very fast! That small margin made a big difference.

Rory

Dear Mr. Collins:

I wanted to tell you my new SAT scores. I got a total score of a 1310,

630 in reading and 680 in math. Thanks again for helping me.

Joanne Brown

Hi Michael,

I just finished my official online GRE!  I wanted to let you know that I got a 162 on verbal and a 165 on quantitative.  I am absolutely ecstatic!  Not only did I reach my goal, but I surpassed it.  I could not have done it without your help.  Thanks again for everything.  I hope your trip was relaxing.

Sincerely,

Ava

166 verbal, 157 math! I will take it. Thank you so much for all of your help. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.

Have a great day!

Best,

Olivia

Hi Michael,

Hope this message finds you well.

Sorry for the late reply, was celebrating since the test ended up going well! Received a score of 710 (57Q/40V/7IR), which was unexpected, since I thought it was going poorly during the test. I’m extremely pleased with the score, and think it’ll be the score I walk away with.

Thank you again for all of your help, patience, and guidance in getting me there. I kept repeating “slow is smooth, and smooth is fast” during the test, which really helped calm things down when I felt under pressure. It’s definitely a phrase I’ll keep stored away for the future.

Again, thank you. I’m thrilled to be done.

Best regards,

Imran

Hi Michael,

My GRE scores made the cut.

I got accepted to the George Washington University, Masters of Public

Health program.

Thanks for your help!!!

Margaux

John and Mike,

THANK YOU for your help in my GMAT journey. Today, I scored a 700 and as luck would have it, an 8/8 on the IR.

Thanks for all your help! I am greatly appreciative!

Off to celebrate with some of Houston's best fajitas and margaritas!

-Zach

Hi Michael,

I just checked college board and I got a 1310 on my final SAT. Im really happy with how far I’ve come from my initial 1100 scores, thank you for all the help!

-Angela

Michael,

My test went really well!! I got a 166 on Verbal and a 159 on Quant. So happy about it! My life is ridiculously busy, so I'm still on the grind for now, but it's nice to have one less thing to worry about.

I want to sincerely thank you for being a great tutor! Your attitude and humor were just as helpful as your tutoring. You made the gre process a lot less painful, and I'm grateful for that!

I'm really glad I got to know you a little through our sessions :) Keep on being awesome, and good luck in all your future endeavors!

Madison

Hey Michael I know it's been a while and I know you're not my instructor anymore but I just feel so proud right now and you helped me get the score I got and I'm just so excited and happythat I got 1240 on my SAT thank you for all you did for me I won't forget that and I have already recommended Kaplan SAT prep to 5 of my friends thank you so much

Hi Michael,

This is Samirah, I'm not sure if you remember me but I really wanted to thank you for all of your help preparing for the June SAT. I finally received my scores and because of Kaplan I scored much higher than my initial goal!

Thanks again,

Samirah

Dear Jen and Michael,

First of all, please accept my sincere apology for not being able to share this news with you earlier.

I was accepted by three different grad schools to do my Ph.D. in science and religion out of the four places I had applied, via first having to do the masters: the Graduate Theological Union (U of Cal) at Berkeley, the U of Edinburgh, U.K., and Washington Adventist U.

I am most probably going to accept the offer from the U of Edinburg because in the British grad schools I can complete my Masters in one and Ph.D. in three years, respectively. In the U.S., unlike in the U.K., it takes 2 and 5-6 years to complete M.A. and Ph.D., respectively. My final decision will rest with the extent of funding support I might win.

I would like to express my deepest sense of gratitude to both of you for your great support in my preparation for the GRE.

Thank you again,

Chad

Michael,

Good news! I took the exam again this morning, and scored 770!

That is the score I was aiming at, and so for now I officially declare that my GMAT cycle is over (at least for the next 5 years).

I wanted to thank you for all the help over this last couple of months. For sure it was a big differential in achieving this result. I wouldn't have done it without your classes.

Let's hope that I didn't mess up the essay!

Tks a lot once again,

Marco

Thank you so much Michael for one of the best professional experiences of my life; and that is saying a lot!

I have been a senior systems analyst at the beginning of my career in the 1980s to a film/television music producer for Warner Bros, Universal, and Paramount Studios in the 1990s, and lastly a secondary science teacher the past decade!

I look forward to working with you again in the near future!

Warmest regards,

Gloria

Hi Michael,

I'm not sure whether you remember me, but we met for a little bit to do some tutoring work for my GRE.

I just wanted to write and say thank you, again, for your help! Your guidance during our tutoring sessions was really helpful for me, along with your list of supplemental videos and activities. I know it wasn't a ton of time that we spent working together, but it still mattered and helped me get to where I wanted to go.

I ended up scoring very well, and I got into the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. So I hope you know that your tutoring help does make a difference.

Anyway, take care, stay safe/healthy, and have a great 2021! Thanks again for your help.

Jared

Hey Michael,

I wanted to let you know I got my score back from the October test and I got a 30 composite score. I got a 32 on the english, 31 math, 28 reading and 30 science. I am so happy about it and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate everything you did for me. We brought my score up from a 24 to a 30 this summer.  I think I’ll be able to get into every school I’m applying to and maybe even be able to look at some more competitive ones because of your help with improving my score. Thanks so much again.

-Joey

Hi Michael,

I just wanted to email you to let you know that I received my ACT scores today. I got a 32 composite, 36 English, 27 math, 35 reading, and 29 science. This is a dramatic improvement from the first practice test I took, so I wanted to thank you for helping me prepare. You were very helpful and supportive, and I could not be more grateful.

Thank you,

Bridget

Dear Mike,

I just wanted to thank you so much for going over all of those math problems with me. It showed me to slow down and really pay attention to the details of the question in order to answer it properly. Thank you for encouraging and working with me. I took the test today!

My goal scores were

Verbal: 160

Quantitative: 152

My actual scores today were:

Verbal 165

Quantitative: 154

Thank you so much for all of your help, I am this much closer to accomplishing my goals.

Have an absolutely fantastic summer,

Lorna

Hi Michael,

I got my SAT score back today and I scored a 1500, and I wanted to thank you so much for your help. I wouldn't have been able to do it without your training.

I will take it again in August since my counselor advised me to do the essay and I didn't in June, but I can now feel much calmer now that I've reached the score I did.

Have a great summer and best of luck with all your lessons!

Best,

Julia

Hi, just wanted to inform you that one my recent SAT I got a 1210, which is a 90 point increase from last time! And my math score improved 50 points!

Hey Michael,

Sorry for not responding sooner. Scores from the December ACT just came back and they went very well. I scored a 34 Composite, but a 35 on the math which makes my superscore a 35. My college counselor has already advised me that I do not need to take another standardized test other than an SAT subject test if a college requires it. Thanks for all the help and I am very pleased with how it all turned out. Your tutoring significantly helped me get to this point so thank you very much. Hope your 2020 is off to a good start!

Best,

Shane

Hi Michael,

I just wanted to let you know that the GRE went well. I got a 166 on Quant and a 168 in the Verbal sections. Thanks for your help for the last couple of months! I appreciate it!

Thanks,

Bridgette

Hi Michael! I actually took the GRE last week. I got a 170 on Verbal and 167 on Math, much thanks to you!

Best,

Bennett

Hi Michael,

Great news! I just got my score report back and I got a… 34 composite!!! Thank you so much for all of your help these past few months, I could not have done it without you.

Best, Ava

Good Afternoon Sir,

Sorry about the time gap, I was incredibly busy with school exams. I

recently got back my SAT and scored a 1520, here’s the breakdown:

English 740 (360 Reading + 380 Writing)

Math 780 (1 incorrect answer brought me down as the maths section was very easy)

Overall, I am quite pleased with this result, although given the fact

that I still have nearly a year till my last SAT, I think it is

possible to improve to the higher range in the 1500s (1540+).

I will contact you when I return from my holidays to resume tutoring!!!

Big thanks to you for your help getting me to this point already!

Thanks,

Happy celebrations,

Grisha

Hi Michael!

I got my scores back today. I just wanted to let you know how it went and thank you for the sessions these past months. While my quant may not be the highest, my programs consider a 145 and above competitive so I’ll take it. The Verbal went surprisingly well. You were right, reading novels paid off more than memorizing random vocabulary words.

Overall my combined score is a 305 and the programs I’m applying for in occupational therapy have an average admitted combined score of 290-295 so hopefully these scores give me an advantage.

Thanks again!

-Kayla

Hi! The test went pretty well.  I got a 1370,  690 on reading and 680 on math. Thanks for all your help. I really am satisfied with my improvements, especially in math
