Strength is the foundation of health. Strong people have denser bones, regulate blood sugar more efficiently, burn more calories at rest, are harder to injure, and enjoy a higher overall work capacity.Â

Barbells are the best way to get strong because they allow you to use the most muscle mass to move the most weight over the longest range of motion. Bars as light as 5.5 pounds mean that there is no barrier to entry. Plates as small as 0.25 pounds allow the load to be adjusted precisely. Barbells meet you exactly where you are.
I coach out of my garage gym in Zebulon, NC. This small private setting allows me to focus on your individual needs without the distractions of commercial gyms. I have been training myself since 2017 and teaching others since 2020. When I am not coaching, I work as an online tutor. I firmly believe in the transformative power of personalized instruction.
Introduction To Barbells ($120 / 2 hours): Learn how to squat, press, deadlift, and bench press according to the Starting Strength model. We will discuss how these lifts are integrated into the novice program and plan your first phase of training.
Form Check ($60 / 1 hour): Troubleshoot one or two movements. This time could also be used as a primer to the Olympic lifts (power clean and power snatch) once the deadlift is mastered.
Online Programming ($60 / 1 month): Receive a custom training program. I will check in weekly to ensure that you are making consistent progress.
